What is public housing?

Public housing was established to provide decent and safe rental housing for eligible low-income families and individuals, the elderly, and people with disabilities. Currently CHA has two complexes one for the elderly and disabled and one for families and young adults.

Housing Authority provided apartments:

Rent based on income and includes trash, water, and sewer and a portion of your electricity. Resident responsible for gas account. Stove, and refrigerators are provided Apartments have washer/dryer hookups. 1 year lease.
